A historic Tuscan hamlet reimagined through wine, hospitality, and a deep connection to the land.
Rooted in Tuscany's rich history, crafted to express the beauty of its vineyards and traditions.
Nestled among the rolling hills of Tuscany, Borgo Bonelli is a place where history, landscape, and hospitality converge. Once a thriving borgo, or hamlet, the estate provided a home for generations of farmers and villagers who worked the surrounding lands near Castello Galena. Today, that rich heritage serves as the foundation for a new chapter.
At the heart of Borgo Bonelli is a collection of wines that reflect the spirit of Tuscany and the distinctive character of the land. While La Caccia di San Giovanni remains the winery's flagship Super Tuscan red blend, the portfolio has expanded to include a white blend and, in select vintages, a limited series of selezione wines that showcase individual varietal expressions. Produced in exceptionally small quantities, the estate's olive oil offers another expression of the property's agricultural heritage and is eagerly anticipated each year.
a new chapter in design
As Borgo Bonelli enters a new chapter, its labels have been thoughtfully reimagined in collaboration with acclaimed Napa artist Michael McDermott. Inspired by the estate's history and the meaning behind La Caccia, "the hunt," the artwork features two dogs in pursuit of a rabbit, symbolizing not the destination, but the ongoing pursuit of excellence. The labels reflect both the heritage of the land and our commitment to crafting wines that authentically express it.

To honor the legacy of La Caccia, meaning “the hunt,” and the historic role of the San Giovanni vineyard as hunting grounds, the label depicts two dogs in pursuit of a rabbit. Yet the symbolism extends beyond the hunt itself.
For us, it represents the pursuit of excellence, the continual quest to craft wines that authentically reflect their place, vintage, and character. It is a reminder that great winemaking is not defined by a destination, but by the dedication and intention behind the journey.
